The Bible explicitly teaches a thousand-year period. It also gives a clear sequence: First resurrection → millennium → resurrection of the rest of the dead → final judgment → destruction of evil → new heaven and new earth. The millennium should therefore be studied from itself rather than from theories that reverse or omit the sequence described in the text.
