Do Guardian Angels Exist?

The Bible teaches that angels minister to and protect God's people, although Scripture does not fully explain the modern idea that every individual has one permanently assigned guardian angel.

Biblical explanation

says: “The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them” (). says: “He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.” Jesus also said: “their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven” (). describes angels as “ministering spirits” sent to serve those who will inherit salvation. The Bible clearly supports angelic ministry and protection. However, it does not explicitly state that every individual has exactly one guardian angel assigned to them for life. Therefore, the biblical claim should not be expanded beyond what Scripture says. The important truth is that God uses heavenly messengers to minister to His people.
